Jason's TDI Repair started in 2001 as a side job while I was working as an insurance salesman, but it has grown into a
full time business since 2004. I enjoy working on cars so I do it to save others money, time and headache. Plus, getting
your car fixed RIGHT is always important. Primary cars worked on are all A4 and A5 platform cars. This includes Jetta.
Golf and Beetle. B5.5 Passat TDI, A3-B4 Jetta and Passat. (limited to engine work) I specialize in repairing TDI powered
cars, but will also perform engine service on some other VW's, mainly the 1.8T powered cars. Please check with me. We
do limited repair on electrical systems and do not do door switches or window regulators. I can refer you to a shop that
does.
Being a full shop that is insured and licensed and does things the right way, your understanding and patience is
appreciated. When I tell you it might be a month to get a particular Saturday you need please don't be upset as at
times I book up quite a ways in advance.
My shop is located in The City of Madison about 10 minutes from Interstate 90. I'm central to food, shopping and hotels
and on a bus line. I do occasionally offer shuttle service if I can fit it in. If you are local and at work, I can pick up your
car and work on it during the day.
I will do roadside assistance in an emergency if I'm available and I can get the issue fixed or have the part handy. Or I
have the ability to get you with a trailer and truck for a fee of course.
I also supply the parts and fluids for all work. If you insist on supplying the parts, there is no warranty to fit, finish,
labor, replacement, or assembly damage expressed or implied. You will need to contact me prior to all work as to the
nature of the repair and the place you ordered the parts and or the quality. I can direct you to the business that have
the best prices/quality on what you need. There are parts for every budget, just ask. Some local, a lot not so local so
you need to plan ahead and order the parts a week or two in advance.
Occasionally parts are put together wrong at another shop or stripped out and since they didn't want to pay for it and
thought "ah screw it! The next guy can worry about it!" Well I'm the next guy so not all quotes are dead on. Sometimes
there will be other things involved (hoses, clamps, sealants, cleaners etc), If I break something out of my own error, it's
on me. But if it's a part failure, be it 30 minutes or 30 months down the road that strands you, it's the responsibility of
the part manufacturer and the temporary repair is on your dime. I will gladly help you as much as I can in a situation
like that as it is not fun if you don't know where to turn, just e-mail me.
Also. Since a lot of people come from some distance for major work be prepared with contingency plans. That means if
you need more things that aren't available be prepared to rent a car or stay overnight. The shop will no longer offer
loaner cars due to prior customer issues. That also means have someone to care for the dog, kids, etc. Just common
sense folks.
About my warranty: I am fully insured for loss, but.....I'm as careful as I can be. So here's the disclaimer. Old stuff
breaks. This is ESPECIALLY true for those of you with the modding bug. Add big injectors, a chip, and a turbo? Things go
south due to your right foot? Sorry to hear that but, as a friend says there is a taillight warranty on mods that double
the power of your car.
